Scott McAdow

Experienced Texas Music Educator Scott McAdow

Scott McAdow has served his alma mater, the University of Houston, as a student teacher supervisor since joining the institution in 2016. In this position, Scott McAdow is tasked with the supervision and training of the university’s senior music education students, with an emphasis on supporting students as they gain teaching experience at local public schools.

Prior to joining the University of Houston, he spent nearly seven years as the Campbell Middle School Director of Bands, during which time the band program was recognized by the Foundation for Music Education. Mr. McAdow had previously spent nearly two decades as the Director of Bands at Langham Creek High School where he led the school to multiple showings at the Midwest Clinic International Band and Orchestra Conference, the world’s most comprehensive and prestigious band convention.

Over the course of his career as a music education professional, Scott McAdow has received several honors and awards. He was named Teacher of the Year at Langham Creek and voted Outstanding Senior Music Major by the faculty at the University of North Texas, from which he received his bachelor of arts. He went on to graduate from the University of Houston with a 4.0 GPA and his master of arts in conducting.
